Enhancement

The application has been updated to comply with LogPoint v6.7.0.

Installation

Follow these steps to install the SyslogForwarderFileFetcher v5.0.0 application:

1. Download the SyslogForwarderFileFetcher_5.0.0.pak file provided in the Download section above. 
2. Install the application by importing the pak file to LogPoint under Settings >> System >> Applications.
3. Add the required device in LogPoint.
4. Click the Add collectors/fetchers icon under the Actions column.
5. Click Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher.
6. In the Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher panel: 
   1. Select the Charset.
   2. Enter the Remote Path of the shared Windows directory.
   3. Enter the Username and Password of the Windows device to access the shared directory.
   4. ClickSubmit.

The application can be downloaded from LogPoint Help Center and installed by importing it to LogPoint under Settings >> System >> Applications. 

Important Notice

• Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher v3.0.0 is supported only on LogPoint v6.0.0 and later. 

Enhancements 

• Users now need to provide a Processing Policy instead of providing the normalization policy and the repo while adding Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher to a device. The Processing Policy integrates Normalization Policy, Enrichment Policy, and Routing Policy into a single policy.
• Necessary improvements are made in the plugin to address the change in the internal folder structure of LogPoint v6.0.0.  

Installation

Steps to install Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher v3.0.0:

1. Download the Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher package from LogPoint Help Center.
2. Install the package by importing the pak file to LogPoint under Settings >> System >> Applications.
3. Add the required device in LogPoint.
4. Click Add collectors/fetchers icon ("+" button under Actions column) for the device.
5. Click Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher in the Available Collectors Fetchers panel. 
6. In the Syslog Forwarder File Fetcher panel: 
   1. Choose an encoding format from the Charset dropdown menu.
   2. Provide the Remote Path of the shared Windows directory.
   3. Provide the Username and the Password of the Windows device to access the shared directory.
   4. Click Submit.
