To use the new MimecastV2Fetcher, you must be a Mimecast administrator with permission for Security Events and Data Retrieval | Threat and Security Events (SIEM) | Read permission.

Yes, I agree! There is a feature request for this open already, so feel free to raise a ticket and add your voice to it, if you haven't raised this through the "official" channels yet.
