Logpoint response on CVE-2024-3094

Logpoint is aware of the recent critical vulnerability (CVE-2024-3094) identified in xz-utils, affecting versions 5.6.0 and 5.6.1. Logpoint’s software, including the products SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, and Endpoint security (AgentX) are not impacted by this vulnerability.

This vulnerability with a CVSS score of 10, involves malicious code backdoored into the xz-utils software. Logpoint's security research is actively monitoring the exploitation strategies and will conduct further research to assess the feasibility of providing detection scenarios for potential exploits in other software components.
