A Navigational Guide to Logpoint Academy

Logpoint Academy is a training portal developed to provide different logpoint trainings to our partners and customers.

If you are a logpoint employee, you can login via okta and if you are customer or partner you can login via servicedesk itself.

1. Get Subscription Code
   To get started with your course, you need to get a subscription code(redemption code) from your account owner. The code is used in the academy platform to unlock the relevant course.
   
   Note: Codes are specific to the courses i.e. to unlock User training you need code related to the user training and code of admin training won't unlock user training.

2. Enroll to the course
   Entering the code, enrolls you to the course.
   
   You can see those courses in the Enrolled Courses section in the home page of Logpoint Academy.

   

   After you are enrolled to a course, you will receive an email detailing about the enrolled course.

   You can also click on “My Courses” from the left top corner menu button to directly visit you course on academy.logpoint.com.

3. Navigate through the course
   Click on the enrolled course to navigate through the course.

   

   Here, you can see multiple sections with different lessons inside it. You have to go through the lessons in that particular order one after another. Different topics are taught with proper guided videos. Next lesson in order will be unlocked if lesson above that is completed.

4. Hands-on Lab
   Click on the "Lab section" in the course menu and launch the lab session.

   
   After the training lab is launched, you will be prompted to this interface:
   
   

    
   To gets some practical experience with using logpoint, you can access Training lab as well. You can click on the top most section “User Training Lab” to launch lesson.
   

• Overview tab: Landing page with details about the lab environment.
• Logpoint Web GUI: Logpoint GUI to perform various exercises.
  Credentials: lptraining/LogPointClass600!
• Training Resources
• Logpoint VM shell: Logpoint backend to perform different troubleshooting

5. Go through the test
All the lessons of the course should be completed to qualify for the exam. The exams contains different single and multiple choice questions about the different topics taught in the course. You have to pass the exam to get certification.

Total questions to be attended: 30
Percentage required to pass the exam: 70%
Time to complete the test per attempt: 60 minutes
Total number of attempts offered: 3

6. Get Certified
After all the lessons are completed, lab is accessed and exam is passed, user gets email informing that they have passed the requirements to be certified. They can download the certificate from the academy platform itself or from the download link from the email.
